Under gloriously sunny skies, the Clan Forrester tent was a beehive of activity for this year's games. Visitors from far and near were drawn to our tent, not only to discover their family connection with the Forrester lineage and its honorable and colorful place in Scottish history; but also, to watch our very own weaver, Lois Foerster, spinning thread. Surrounding our tent were the usual attractions that one would expect to find at the Stone Mountain Games. Included among these were the heart stirring sounds of the Great Highland bagpipes, fiddlers and harps. If Celtic music is your muse, you would have been right in your element with no less than three music stages and celebrated musicians from various quarters.
On Saturday evening following the day's activities, we were all treated to the annual ceilidh provided by Will and Sonia Newman at their home. Their tables were lavishly laden with dishes appealing to the most discriminating tastes, followed by music from our very own members and a joyful celebration of another games well done.
