Greetings from Florida!

Here is hoping that everyone is safe and well.  We consider ourselves pretty lucky to have seen everyone at the Central Florida Games in January, of course, not knowing what was going to happen just a few months later with all the closures.  The weather was fabulous. Our Clan tent was in a great location and throughout the weekend, we were treated to the musical jamming from “New World Celts”. The Saturday night ceilidh was enjoyed under a starry sky and mild temperatures. It was a sea of blankets and lawn chairs and it was great to see our kinsmen decked out in Tartan or our Clan Forrester t-shirts. We were able to meet new Forrester kin, and of course, welcome back our returning kinfolk. Sunday is always the lighter of the two days. Next year, we hope to increase our Sunday turnout by bringing our guitars, weather pending, to the tent and having a jam session. Plan on being there in 2021 and support Clan Forrester.

We are in unchartered territory with the pandemic closures, so stay tuned. Our next Florida games, if it goes well, will be Mt. Dora – third weekend in November. These games are experiencing growing pains – a wonderful thing. So, bring your patience and flexibility. Be safe in your travels and have an enjoyable summer.

Best Wishes to All,

Nina Ford
